The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday that the daily average of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases reduced by 22% between October 17 and October 23.
From Oct. 10 to Oct. 16, 2,188 people were counted daily; this week, 1,714 people were reported daily.
According to the most recent case bulletin, there have been 11,995 new cases and 272 confirmed fatalities.
The DOH said that 26 further deaths happened between October 10 and 23.
The number of severe and critical infections decreased from 690 the previous week to 650 within the same time period due to the addition of four new cases.
Only 581 of the 2,520 beds in the intensive care unit (ICU) are being used, or 23.1 percent, whereas 5,666 of the 21,474 non-ICU beds are being used, or 26.4 percent.
Approximately 73,482,574 or 94.09 percent of the target population for the nation (78,100,578) have received the Covid-19 vaccination as of this writing, including 79.19 percent of 8,721,357 seniors.
Out of the people who received all their vaccinations, 20,472,983 had booster doses as of October 23.
