After withdrawals, 2022 digital Bar examinees are reduced to 9.9K.

In this year’s bar examinations, there are now 9,916 candidates instead of 159, the Supreme Court announced Monday.

According to previous advice, the Bar exams will be given on November 9, 13, 16, and 20 and include eight disciplines.

SC spokesperson Brian Keith Hosaka texted, “There were initially 10,075 authorized applicants for the Bar exam this year.” “I am unaware of the causes behind their removal. I think the Office of the Bar Confidant would need to receive written notice.

Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa will serve as the chairman of the bar examinations this year.

It will be the second to be held online, without the traditional pen and paper, and in several locations, utilizing personal laptops and a secure program.

On October 21, test exams were given to see if the Examplify software was compatible with various devices.

The National Capital Region’s 14 testing locations are located in Northern and Southern Manila, Pasay City, Quezon City, and Taguig City; in Luzon, Baguio City, Benguet; Lipa City, Batangas; and Naga City, Camarines Sur; in the Visayas, Northern and Southern Cebu City; and Tacloban City, Leyte; and in Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro City, Davao City, and Zambo

The venue selection made by a candidate for the bar shall be final and irrevocable once made.

Of the 11,402 law graduates who took the test, 8,241, or 72.28 percent, passed the 2020-2021 Bar exams in February.

While 751 students passed with “exemplary” grades (between 85 and 90 percent), 14 students received recognition for “outstanding” performance.

The tests in 2020 and 2021 were postponed due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
