Davao area records 570 new cases of COVID-19
From October 31 to November 6, the Davao Region saw at least 570 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), according to the regional Department of Health office (DOH-11).
According to DOH-11’s weekly briefing, the most recent figure is 5.2% lower than the 601 cases reported from October 24 to 30.
According to the organization, just 61 of the 437 Covid-19 hospitalizations are severe and critical.
Only 34 of the 61—or 7.78% of all admissions—are verified instances, while the remaining 27 are either likely or questionable.
Eight deaths were reported in the previous seven days, according to DOH-11.
The capacity for non-intensive care unit (ICU) bed use and ICU bed use, respectively, at the regional hospital, was 41.2 percent and 59.4 percent, respectively.
While noting that Covid-19 immunization campaigns are still underway in the region, DOH-11 encouraged the public to continue following the minimal public health standards: wear the best-fitting mask, segregate when ill, double up on protection with vaccination and boosters, and guarantee a good ventilation.
DOH-11 reported that 7,417,551 vaccination doses had been given in the area as of Nov. 7.
94.5 percent, or around 3.5 million people, have gotten a dosage of a Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccination.
The organization claimed that more than 3.3 million people in the area have received their full dose of vaccinations.
Regarding booster shots, approximately 17.3 percent of people, or 657,415 people, had received their first dosage, while 3.2 percent, or 122,003, had received a second dose.
