21 additional updated jeepneys will travel routes in Pampanga.
Soon, 21 more updated jeepneys will travel the main roads in this region.
The 21 air-conditioned public utility jeepneys (PUJs) will be introduced on November 26 at the City Transport Terminal Phase 2 in Barangay San Juan here, according to Nasrudin Talipasan, regional director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB). These three transport service cooperatives are the Kapampangan Transport Service Cooperative, Lubao Transport Service Cooperative, and Guagua/ Betis/ Bacolor Transport Service Cooperative.
According to Talipasan, the new, more modern jeepneys will run along the routes of Angeles City to San Fernando via McArthur Highway, San Fernando to San Isidro, Lubao to San Fernando via Bacolor, Lubao to San Fernando via Guagua, San Fernando to Sasmuan via Guagua, Guagua to SM City Pampanga/Robinsons Starmills via OG Road, and Guagua to SM
He expressed gratitude to the cooperatives providing transport services for continuing to support the government’s PUV modernization program (PUVMP)
He stated in a social media post that the cooperatives’ goal is to increase the number of modern public vehicles in the province of Pampanga. “Layunin ng mga nasabing kooperatiba na palawakin pa ang bilang ng mga modernong pampublikong sasakyan sa probinsya ng Pampanga,” he wrote.
According to Talipasan, contemporary PUJs are considerate of people with disabilities and safe, secure, and comfortable for everyone (PWDs).
More commuters, according to him, would be able to enjoy traveling in air-conditioned, roomy, secure, and practical modernized PUJs.
Additionally, he reaffirmed that the LTFRB would keep helping the provincial transport service cooperatives with technical support.
Twelve updated jeepneys were originally introduced by the three transportation cooperatives and One Mexico Prime Transport Service Cooperative on March 16.
