The Manila Zoo reopens to the public after renovations
After being restored, the Manila Zoo reopened to the public on Monday, welcoming its first guests from Davao City in Mindanao and the provinces of Luzon.
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna stated during the “Balitaan sa Harbor View” news event that a senior gentleman from Davao City informed her that he would be visiting Manila for three days and that the Manila Zoo was his first stop.
She claimed that one elderly Baguio City resident traveled all the way to Manila in order to visit his grandchild at the recently restored zoo.
Any visitor, according to Lacuna, won’t feel underserved by the zoo’s new attractions.
She claimed that Manila Zoo’s entrance fee is far less than that of other zoos in the nation, which can cost up to PHP600 per person, or double what the latter does.
Children under the age of two can enter for free, while senior citizens and people with disabilities receive a 20 percent discount.
Tickets can be purchased online at manilazoo.ph
The zoo is open every day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the last admission of visitors being at 6 p.m.
