MANILA – Special vaccination days are being held by the National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC)…

Employers are recommended to permit special vaccination days for their staff.

Employers are advised not to mark missing employees who will have their own Covid-19 vaccinations during the three-day special immunization days from December 5 to 7.
As stated in Labor Advisory No. 24, which was released on Tuesday, “Employers are highly encouraged to allow their employees to be excused from work without being considered absent when they: get vaccinated and/or accompany their children on the scheduled vaccination; or experience adverse vaccine-related effects and/or have to care for their children who experience adverse vaccine-related effects.”
In order to help the government implement Bakunahang Bayan: Special Vaccination Days, guidelines were released.
The advisory covers employees of private businesses.
The statement said, “This Advisory shall apply to all personnel in the private sector, particularly those with due or missed schedules for vaccine doses, first or second booster dose, and or those who would accompany their children for immunization.”
The Department of Health previously announced the nationwide “Bakunahang Bayan” event, which aims to increase public access to immunizations.
