Farmers in Cebu receive a P1.2 million agricultural tractor from DAR.

The Department of Agrarian Reform gave a four-wheel drive farm tractor worth PHP1.26 million to 40 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) who are part of Hugpong Sa Nagkahiusang Mag-uuma (HUSANAMA) in San Remigio town, Cebu province (DAR).
The 35-horsepower tractor was a gift from the DAR, which HUSANAMA president Wilfredo Ruedas thanked and said will greatly enhance their vegetable production.
ARBs were urged by Grace Fua, Cebu Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, to make the most of the tractor in order to boost farm output and member revenue.
She also urged the group members to offer a safe location for the facility’s upkeep and storage.
According to a statement she released on Tuesday, “The agricultural equipment was provided under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPSP) on Major Crop-Based Farm Productivity Enhancement and Sustainable Livelihood Support.”
According to Fua, the HUSANAMA members received fertilizer and seeds for their vegetable production as part of the CRFPSP.
In the presence of Romeo Sumbi, the Gaway-gaway Barangay Captain, Jane Arcillas, the Municipal Agriculturist, and Ken Cabataa, the Municipal Administrator, Fua, and Ruedas also signed a trust agreement specifying the responsibilities of the DAR and HUSANAMA.
