Government agencies are making every effort to release Philsys IDs.

In light of delays in the distribution of the Philippine Identification (PhilID) cards, also known as the national ID, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA-CAR) urged the people to exercise patience on Wednesday.
The regional director of PSA-CAR, Villafe Alibuyog, stated in an interview, “We apologize for the delay. Pasensiya na po, hintayin lang po natin, ginagawa po ng agencies involved and kanilang makakaya para makarating na sa atin ang ating mga PhilSys ID (Philippine Identification System). The concerned agencies are working hard to release our Philsys IDs.
According to Alibuyog, more than one agency is responsible for carrying out the government’s PhilSys program.
The Philippine Postal Corporation handles distribution and delivery, while another agency handles printing and our agency handles data collection and registration.
According to Alibuyog, the five-year PhilSys initiative was reduced to three years after the President ordered the rapid issuance of the ID copies.
She said, “Even we PSA staff don’t yet have our IDs; let’s just wait for them.” “Pati po kami na taga PSA wala pa rin yung ID, hintayin lang po natin,” she said.
The digital PhilID is currently being made available by PSA.
“We can issue them an e-copy of the ID, which they can avail of and have printed at the local PSA offices,” Alibuyog said. “Pwede po tayong pumunta sa (We can go to) PSA offices.”
