Pag-IBIG releases a mobile app to commemorate its 42nd birthday.
To better serve its members as it celebrates its 42nd anniversary, the Pag-IBIG Fund released its mobile app on Thursday.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. noted the significance of the housing development mutual fund in his recorded message, which provides millions of Filipinos hope that their dreams of owning a home may come true.
The Pag-IBIG Fund, according to Marcos, “has maintained loyal to the purpose of realizing the hopes of millions of Filipinos by providing secure savings programs and dependable and cheap housing loans over the years.”
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of improving the services that Pag-IBIG has been providing to the general people through its brand-new mobile application.
“Today, we also congratulate the Virtual Pag-IBIG Mobile Application on its debut. Every Filipino would have easier access to Pag-IBIG Fund services and benefits thanks to the app. Be certain that this administration is committed to supporting you as you undertake housing and development projects and initiatives because of its unshakable commitment to digitize and streamline our services, the president said.
Rizalino Acuzar, Secretary of the Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development (DHSUD), reaffirmed to Pag-IBIG members that the department will continue to embrace technology to enhance its services.
According to Acuzar, the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos, has called for maximizing the use of information technology in the provision of public service. “This service innovation will considerably help provide social benefits to our fellow Filipinos,” he added.
During the debut of the agency’s mobile app, Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene Acosta displayed the service capabilities and user-friendly design.
Pag-IBIG members could access their membership ID number, check the status of their short-term loan or housing, make online payments, and set up a fictitious Pag-IBIG account through the app.
Through the app, users can also check the balance and repayment due dates of their loans, their payment history, and the status of their savings and annual dividends.
You can download the Virtual Pag-IBIG mobile application from the Apple Store and Google Play.
More than 750,000 users have downloaded the mobile app since its beta version became available in August of this year.
