School supplies to be given to 36K students and teachers: DepEd

According to the Department of Education (DepEd) on Friday, the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Foundation’s donation of school materials is anticipated to help almost 35,000 students and more than 1,000 teachers.
Vice President and Secretary of Education Sara Duterte applauded the BPI Foundation’s action as it collaborated with the DepEd for learning recovery in a video message.
The project, she said, “brings joy and ease to thousands of public school teachers and pupils, a real statement of your trust and confidence in them to hold out strong while we strive to close learning gaps caused by the closure of schools during the pandemic.”
According to Duterte, the act directs the organization’s social corporate responsibility as well as those of its stakeholders, assisting in the growth and improvement of fundamental elementary education.
She prayed, “May we never grow weary of finding meaningful methods to support our teachers’ and students’ joint endeavors and maintain the quality of our education via our involvement, synergy, and dedication to the nation.
In the meantime, the BPI Foundation reassured the public of its ongoing dedication to and relationship with the DepEd.

“We think that complete assistance and collaboration between the public and private sectors are crucial to every recovery… Until we are fully recovered, the BPI Foundation will continue to focus on the rebuilding phase, according to executive director Owen Cammayo.
Along with providing school supplies for thousands of students and instructors, it will also donate printing supplies to 74 large and small schools around the country.
A printer, 12 bottles of black and colored ink, and 25 reams of short bond papers will be given to selected big schools, while two printers, 24 bottles of black and colored ink, and 100 reams of short bond papers will be given to selected small schools.
The BPI Foundation has given DepEd printing supplies for the second time. Around 90,000 students in seven districts profited from the printers, ink, and bond paper reams that were sent to the Brigada Eskwela in March.
