In 2022, DOLE-11 will award 493 work visas to foreign nationals.

This year, 493 foreigners received Alien Employment Permits (AEPs) from the Department of Labor and Employment in Davao Region 11 (DOLE-11).
The head of DOLE-11, Randolf Pensoy, stated in a statement on Thursday that they have strictly enforced employment regulatory services on the issue of AEP in order to preserve the welfare of Filipino workers and address any instances of foreigners working illegally in the area.
According to Article 40 of the Labor Code, as modified, foreigners who want to work for a Philippine employer for more than six months must obtain AEPs.
Pensoy stated that 420 foreigners, or 85.2%, of the total 493 AEPs issued as of December 20 were based in the city.
According to DOLE-11 figures, the top five foreign workers in this country were from India, China, Indonesia, Japan, and Pakistan.
Operations managers, marketing executives, and electrical specialists were among the top positions for foreign workers.
According to Pensoy, there has been a notable 44 percent increase in the number of foreign nationals who have received AEPs since 2018.
Within ten days of the contract’s signing or prior to the start of employment, AEP applications must be submitted to the DOLE regional office with authority over the prospective workplace.
