Covid-19 daily average cases have decreased by 25%.



The Department of Health (DOH) said Monday that the daily average of new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) reduced by 25% between December 19 and December 25.
The number decreased to 813 daily in the most recent week from the 1,082 per day recorded from December 12 to December 18.
According to the most recent case bulletin, there were 172 confirmed deaths and 5,690 new cases. The DOH said 24 additional deaths occurred between December 12 and December 25.
Three cases of severe and critical illnesses were added during this time period, bringing the total down from 592 cases the previous week to 516 cases overall.
Only 451 of the 2,367 beds in the intensive care unit (ICU) are being used, or 19.1%, whereas 3,324 of the 18,935 non-ICU beds are being used, or 17.6%.
Approximately 73,756,732 people, or 94.44 percent of the country’s target population (78,100,578), had received the Covid-19 vaccination as of this writing, including 79.44 percent of the 8,721,357 seniors.
Out of the completely immunized population, a total of 21,145,843 people have gotten booster doses as of December 25.
