The performance of the crew escape system and parachute-based deceleration system would be shown for various flight situations during two test vehicle trips without crew before the H-1 mission, according to Singh.

The second uncrewed mission, G-2, is planned to launch in the first quarter of 2024, followed by the first uncrewed mission, G-1, in the last quarter of 2023. The final human space trip, H-1, is planned to launch in the second half of 2024.

Singh clarified The G-1 mission aims to verify the effectiveness of the orbital module propulsion system, mission control, communication system, and recovery procedures. A humanoid will be the mission’s payload.

Singh added that the astronauts for the human space flight mission have been identified and are presently receiving training in Bangalore.
