Tiktok bans by US House on government devices.

According to the Chief Administrative Office of the House, the widely used video-sharing software TikTok will not be permitted on official devices used by the House of Representatives and its workers.
The TikTok mobile application has a high danger for users, according to the Office of Cybersecurity, it said in an email issued to lawmakers and staff on Tuesday.
You will be called to delete the TikTok app if it is present on your House mobile device, it stated.
TikTok has been under scrutiny from US authorities after the FBI issued a warning last month that data gathered by the app may be “maliciously” exploited by Beijing’s government.
In response, TikTok stated that it does not keep data on US users in China, where the legislation empowers the government to compel businesses to turn up internal data.
The TikTok prohibition is also codified in the $1.7 trillion budget package that the Senate approved last week, replacing the piecemeal initiatives that were previously limited to a few government agencies.
The ban will apply to almost all government organizations once it is enacted into law.
