The One-Stop-Shop Serbilis On-the-Go! the event, which began on Monday at the DSWD Central Office, was a joint effort by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and a number of other national government agencies as part of the DSWD’s 72nd-anniversary celebration.

The program, which will take place from January 23 to 27, intends to make it easier for DSWD Central Office employees, their families, and institutional service contractors to access other government frontline services right outside the department’s doors.

The DSWD asked the Commission on Elections (Comelec), headed by chairperson George Erwin Garcia, to present their Register Anywhere Project at the start of the program (RAP).

The RAP is a continuous Comelec project for voter registration that enables the reactivation of voter records, the transfer of voter information, and the registration of first-time voters.

“The DSWD backs the Comelec’s initiative to make voter registration simple and available to Filipino citizens. In order to facilitate the registration of DSWD employees and their family for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, a satellite registration site was set up today at the DSWD Central Office, according to DSWD Officer-in-Charge Eduardo Punay.

Punay also reaffirmed the DSWD’s support for the Comelec’s initiatives, highlighting the value of working together with the election authority for RAP.

To ensure that more Filipinos are aware of their right to vote and engage in our electoral process, he said, “rest assured that the DSWD would support Comelec’s initiatives on voter’s education and voter’s registration.”

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Professional Regulation Commission are among the additional participating government service providers at the One-Stop-Shop Serbilis On-the-Go! (PRC).
