In January, BOC records an approximately P7-B collection excess.
According to the Bureau of Customs (BOC), revenue collection for January was more than expected.
According to a preliminary report made public on Monday evening, the BOC has only received PHP65.801 billion from January 1 to January 27.
The year’s first collection was higher by 11.9%, or PHP6.98 billion.
The BOC stated that PHP58.822 billion is the monthly revenue collection objective.
The amount is also more than the PHP58.174 billion collected over the same period in 2022 by PHP7.627 billion, or 13.1%.
The BOC continues to put strict controls in place under the supervision of Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz to combat illegal trade and Customs fraud.
According to Ruiza, the expansion of legal revenue collection and the improvement of trade facilitation are likewise in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
