Karlo Alexei Nograles, the chairman of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), recently met with senior government representatives from across the world at the Global Government Summit (GGS), which took place from February 1 to 2 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.

In a Wednesday bilateral discussion, Nograles and Singapore’s head of civil service Leo Yip, according to a CSC press release, reviewed the duties and responsibilities of their respective organizations.

According to the CSC, Nograles, and Yip also explored other potential areas of cooperation between Singapore and the Philippines, particularly in relation to digitization and digitalization.

The Global Government Summit (GGS), hosted by the Singaporean government and put together by the Global Government Forum, examined the difficulties now affecting civil service worldwide.

The GGS offers a private, unstructured setting where members can openly exchange ideas, share triumphs and failures, and look for answers to civil service problems.

The Global Government Summit, which was first hosted in London in 2011, brings together the top figures in central government, including those in charge of managing strategic development, organizational reform, workforce capacities, and cultural transformation in their respective countries’ civil services.
