Luzon is expected to be dampened on Friday by the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” according to the weather service.

Over the Bicol Region and Quezon, there will be a lot of clouds and rain showers.

In its 4 a.m. report, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned that these areas could encounter flash floods or landslides as a result of moderate to sometimes severe rains.

Partly overcast to cloudy skies will prevail across the Visayas, Mindanao, and Southern Palawan with sporadic rain showers brought on by small-scale thunderstorms.

During violent thunderstorms, these locations may also experience flash floods or landslides, according to PAGASA.

Over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, skies will be cloudy to partly cloudy with light rain.

Throughout the meantime, there will be continued moderate to high winds and moderate to rough waves in the eastern part of the country and in extreme northern Luzon.

According to PAGASA, winds will be light to moderately strong with modest to moderate seas elsewhere.
