The most recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) study, which found that 75% of adult Filipinos are satisfied with his performance in the fourth quarter of 2022, was termed as “encouraging” by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday.

I don’t really read polls since… However, it’s reassuring to know that naunawaan ng tao ‘yung aming ginagawa (people understand what we’re doing),” Marcos remarked in a video sent to reporters by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

As a result, “we will just keep moving and keep everyone updated about what we’re doing,” he continued.

Marcos’ satisfaction rating increased by four points, from 71 percent in October 2022 to 75 percent the following month, according to the SWS survey, which was conducted from December 10 to 14.

Uncertainty fell by three points, from 21 percent to 18 percent, while dissatisfaction declined by one point, from 8 percent to 7 percent.

“The final net satisfaction rating was +68, which SWS deems to be extremely good. This is five points more than the excellent +63 in October 2022, according to the SWS survey.

Net satisfaction ratings are categorized by SWS as follows: +70 and above, “excellent,” +50 to +69, “very good,” +30 to +49, “good,” +10 to +29, “moderate,” +9 to -9, “neutral,” -10 to -29, “poor,” -30 to -49, “bad,” -50 to -69, “very terrible,” and -70 and below, “execrable.”

The Visayas, Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, and Metro Manila had very good levels of Marcos’ net satisfaction, while Mindanao had the highest level at an excellent +72.

“In Mindanao and Metro Manila, net satisfaction with President Marcos remained at +72 and +65 respectively, compared to October 2022. The poll found that it increased by 8 points from +60 in Balance Luzon and by 11 points from +56 in the Visayas.

His net satisfaction varied by location, with an outstanding +74 in rural areas and a very good +62 in urban areas.

His net happiness increased from +61 in rural regions by 13 points. From +65, it hardly changed in populated areas.

The survey also revealed that men and women both had great satisfaction ratings of +70 and +66, respectively.

Men’s net satisfaction with Marcos increased by seven points to +63, while women’s net satisfaction increased by four points.

In terms of age groupings, Marcos’ net satisfaction was very good (+68) among those aged 18 to 24, excellent (+73) among those aged 25 to 34, excellent (+71) among those aged 35 to 44, very good (+68) among those aged 45 to 54, and very good (+64) among those aged 55 and beyond.

His net satisfaction rating was an excellent +73 among those with no formal education or some elementary education, a very good +64 among those who completed elementary school or some high school, an excellent +72 among those who completed junior high school, some senior high school, some vocational school, or some college, and a very good +55 among those who either completed senior high school, some senior high school, some vocational school or attended some college.
