Farmers in Batangas and Oriental Mindoro receive dairy goats

To offer new sources of income and the chance for long-term investment, 119 Anglo-Nubian dairy goats were given to 18 farmer-beneficiaries in the provinces of Batangas and Oriental Mindoro.

The National Dairy Authority’s Dairy Goat Establishment Program has earned praise from Guinhawa Farmers Association President Almer Abe, who also thanked Senator Cynthia Villar for her support of the initiative.

“Napakasaya dahil isa kami sa mga nabiyayaan ng mga kambing,” the speaker said. If it’s not already present in your community, it doesn’t fit well with our cooperative system. I’m very grateful to be one of the dairy goats’ benefactors, to put it simply: I’m so glad to have them. This is really beneficial for the entire community as well as our cooperative. These dairy goats will be useful to many, especially once they begin producing milk, he claimed.

Abe stated he will utilize the dairy goats he received to better his farm as he expands into the dairy industry. Abe said that he breeds native animals.

He also thinks that once the other locals in his barangay see the project’s results, they would be inspired to participate.

“My goal is to increase the amount of dairy in my neighborhood; I’ve made progress toward that goal, but I’m still unaware of how things will turn out once I’ve informed the barangay officials I’m working with about my intention to increase dairy in my neighborhood. I want to jump-start dairy production in our barangay; it will be challenging at first, but I think once people see that it is profitable, they will be persuaded to join us. The man said, “I want our town to be known for its dairy products.

These organizations include Guinhawa Farmers Association (GFA), Lobo Irrigators Services Association (LISA), and Bagorra Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (BAFARCO) in Oriental Mindoro. The farmer-beneficiaries are also members of Samahan ng mga Magsasaka sa Kanayunan at Patubig (SAMAKAPA) in Balayan, Batangas, Guinhawa Farmers Association (GFA), and LISA in Tuy town,
