As of February 18, the NCR positive rate increased to 1.7%.

On February 18, there were 1.7 percent more people in the National Capital Region (NCR) tested positive for the coronavirus disease of 2019 (Covid-19).

Dr. Guido David, a fellow with the OCTA Research Group, stated on Twitter on Monday that the increase is “negligible” given that the region’s positive rate was 1.6 percent higher than the previous week.

David stated that “the positive rates in NCR and other key provinces remained Dismal at less than 5%.”

The following provinces have the lowest rates: Batangas (0.7%), Bulacan (0.7%), Cavite (1.4%), Cebu (1.4%), Davao del Sur (3.8%), Iloilo (1%) Laguna (1.1%) Negros Occidental (1.8%) Pampanga (0.7%), and Pangasinan (0.9%).

As of February 19, the countrywide positive rate is 1.8 percent.
