According to data released on Monday by the Department of Health (DOH), the number of new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) across the nation reduced by 19% from February 13 to February 19.

According to the most current DOH case bulletin, daily infections dropped from 157 from February 6 to 12 to 128 in the most recent week.

895 new cases and 74 verified deaths were also reported by the DOH.

Four of the extra deaths took place from February 6 to February 19.

Around 4.07 million coronavirus illnesses and more than 66,021 fatalities have been reported in the nation thus far.

Three cases were added to the list of severe and critical infections during the same week, bringing the total up to 406 from 426 the week before.

Only 311 of the 2,085 beds in the intensive care unit (ICU) are being used, or 14.9%, whereas 3,202 of the 17,045 non-ICU beds are being used, or 18.8%.

As of February 19, 73,873,958 or 94.59 percent of the country’s target population (78,100,578) has received the Covid-19 vaccination, including 79.48 percent of the 8,721,357 seniors.

Of the population who has received all of the recommended vaccinations, 21,500,083 people have received booster doses.
