Luzon is expected to be dampened on Friday by the northeast monsoon, or "amihan," according…

Amihan and LPA to drench some areas of Luzon

According to the meteorological service on Tuesday, a low-pressure area (LPA) and the northeast monsoon, also known as “amihan,” may cause rain showers in some areas of Luzon.
The LPA, which was last located 345 kilometers or 340 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, is still less likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone.
On the other hand, it will bring isolated rain showers and thunderstorms to Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon on the mainland. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Agency (PAGASA), moderate to heavy and occasionally extreme rains could cause flash floods or landslides.
The northeast monsoon will bring showers to Batanes and Babuyan Islands, and moderate to occasionally severe rains may also create flash floods or landslides.
There won’t be any noticeable effects from the amihan, which is just expected to produce light showers in the Cordillera Administrative Region and the Ilocos Region.
Due to localized thunderstorms, there will be sporadic rain showers across the rest of the nation. It’s possible to experience flash floods or landslides after powerful thunderstorms.
In the meantime, Luzon will have moderate to high winds and moderate to rough waves.
Seas will be moderate to very rough along the northern and western coasts of Northern Luzon, the western coast of Central Luzon, and the northern and eastern coasts of Luzon.
Fishing boats and other small seagoing vessels were cautioned not to enter the water, and bigger seagoing vessels were warned against strong waves.
Winds will be light to moderate elsewhere, and seas will be mild to moderate.
