NATO guarantees to assist Ukraine “for as long as required.”

As the alliance “solemnly” commemorates one year of Moscow’s “brutal” war on Kyiv, NATO reiterated its solidarity with Ukraine on Friday in the “heroic defense” of its country.

The alliance released a statement in which it said, “We pay respect to the lives lost and we regret the sad human suffering and destruction, especially of Ukraine’s residential areas and civilian and energy infrastructure, caused by Russia’s illegitimate aggression.”

By closely coordinating with relevant parties, including international organizations, in particular the EU, as well as like-minded nations, NATO pledged to increase its “political and practical support” to Ukraine. It also said that NATO’s support will be maintained “as long as necessary to help Ukraine prevail.”

“We have urged Russia to engage in productive, trustworthy negotiations with Ukraine, but Russia has not demonstrated any sincere interest in achieving a just and durable peace. We are still committed to upholding coordinated international pressure on Russia, highlighting that country’s “full responsibility.” “during the war.

Together with Belarus, the coalition denounced “all those who are actively assisting Russia’s aggression.”

It declared that all those involved in Russian “war crimes” and other atrocities must be held accountable, adding that there can be “no impunity.”

It demanded that Russia “immediately halt this war and remove all of its military forces from Ukraine.”

The war in Russia poses a threat to international security. Russia’s clear disregard for international norms and the welfare of billions of people around the world is demonstrated by its energy blackmail, impact on global food supplies, malicious hybrid activities, global disinformation campaign, and irresponsible nuclear rhetoric, according to the statement.

“Russia’s attempts to weaken the will of the courageous Ukrainian people are failing. Ukrainians are still heroically battling for their freedom and independence one year later. We support them, “That was an ad.

Finland and Sweden, the NATO invitees, sign on to the statement as well.
