The week-long transportation strike planned by several transport groups could have an impact on visitors and travelers utilizing the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the DOT warned in a public statement.

The public who uses public transportation is expected to be impacted by the transport strike, which starts on March 6 and lasts until March 12.

Although the strike mainly affects jeepneys and UV (utility vehicle) transport services, it went on to say that there could be spillover effects on other forms of transit if commuters were forced to use them.

The news on the transportation situation in their areas should be followed on the official social media pages of relevant government organizations as well as by airline passengers.

In order to avoid inconvenience, they are also encouraged to check the status of their travel plans before attending the NAIA.
