The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said on Monday that the over 90 million official ballots needed for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) have already been printed.

The National Printing Office (NPO) in Quezon City has finished printing the 90,613,426 official ballots, according to Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco.

“About 90 million votes have been cast, and all of them have been printed. The original voter list has already been printed in full “At a Laging Handa briefing, he remarked.

The overall amount includes 23,639,477 SK ballots and 66,973,949 barangay ballots that will be cast on October 30.

He claimed that the only thing left to do is train individuals who will serve on the Election Boards (EBs).

The Comelec spokesman continued, “We can truly declare that your Comelec is 100 percent prepared (for the BSKE).

The village and youth elections for December 5, 2022, will now take place on the final Monday in October of this year according to Republic Act 11935, which was approved by Congress and signed into law by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
