4.6K people of Manila receive jobs through public employment offices

Through the city’s public employment service office, about 4,600 Manila residents, including senior citizens and people with disabilities (PWDs), received jobs (PESO).
According to Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, who cited PESO Director Fernan Bermejo’s report, the overall number of employment created from January 1, 2023, has reached 4,592.
Of the total, 1,031 were hired right away, 2,267 were placed with employers based on placement reports, and 1,029 (Joyride Philippines) and 180 (Borzo Philippines).
According to Lacuna, the PESO has also helped 4,726 students through its career advising initiative.
“This will direct you (students) towards the appropriate course or career route. We also require assistance in our decisions, but not to the extent of having our lives dictated to us “According to Lacua’s comments.
The mayor, meanwhile, urged candidates to attend the Mega Job Fair, which will be placed on March 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sarmiento Covered Court on Teresa Street in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
Please remember to bring at least 10 copies of your resume and your own ballpen when you apply.
“Arrive 30 minutes early so that you can be at ease during the interview. You should eat something to avoid becoming hungry, and you should bring a ballpoint pen so you won’t have to borrow one “Add a lacuna.
The same massive job fair, according to Bermejo, was held on February 24. Of the 473 candidates, 205 were hired right away.
The Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) is now hiring, according to Lacuna.
Visit SPES or its Facebook page if you’re interested in learning more about the program and the prerequisites.
It is open to high school grads, college freshmen, recent grads, and graduates with a technical or vocational degree.
Also, there will be special recruitment events at the PESO annex office in Lawton, which is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
