CSC reports the highest attendance for eligibility tests.

According to the Civil Service Commission (CSC), a total of 381,735 people nationwide took the Professional and Subprofessional levels of the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) on Sunday.

According to CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles, this number represents 94.56 percent of the 403,567 people who registered for the exam for prospective civil servants or those vying for promotions on March 26; of these, 331,928 took the CSE for Professional Level (out of 350,645 registrants), and 49,807 took the Subprofessional Level (out of 52,922).

Nograles stated in a news release on Monday that this “might be the biggest turnout the CSC has had for a single CSE-PPT schedule.”

The current tests, he continued, were held as a result of the large number of Filipinos seeking professional service eligibility, particularly those whose exam dates had been postponed during the height of the Covid-19 outbreak.

No substantial concerns were recorded between the examiners and the examinees, according to the CSC chief, because everyone cooperated with the previously declared health and safety regulations and followed instructions.

As the Marcos administration works to increase the number of Filipinos working in the public sector, Nograles took the time during his visits to Guiguinto National Vocational High School and Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School in the municipalities of Guiguinto and Malolos, Bulacan, respectively, to express his gratitude to the teachers, collaborators in local government units, and other government employees who served as room examiners and proctors.

I want to express my gratitude to the CSC for the oras and lakas that they provided for my exam the following day. We at the CSC thank you for devoting your time and effort to today’s exams. Due to your commitment to serving even on a Sunday, we have preserved the integrity and success of the civil service examination, Nograles said.

Along with Nograles, senior CSC officials visited testing locations to assess how the tests were actually run and praised volunteers everywhere.

Together with the directors of the Examination, Recruitment, and Placement Office, Prisco S. Rivera Jr. and Cherry C. Berris, Commissioner Aileen Lourdes A. Lizada visited the testing facilities in Baguio. Acting Executive Director IV Victoria F. Esber went to the testing facility in Tacloban City. In Dumaguete City, Commissioner Karin Litz P. Zerna and Asst. Testing facilities in Quezon City were inspected by Commissioner Ariel G. Ronquillo.
