Canada will lend Ukraine $1.76 billion in 2023.

According to the country’s draft federal budget, the Canadian government would give the Kiev government a loan of 2.4 billion Canadian dollars ($1.76 billion at the current currency rate).

The contract, which was released on Wednesday, guarantees the Kiev administration a further loan of 2.4 billion Canadian dollars through the International Monetary Fund until 2023. (IMF).

In addition, 146.7 million Canadian dollars ($200 million) would be set aside to buy eight Leopard 2 tanks for Ukraine’s military.

In 2023–2024, an additional 62.2 million US dollars (or 84.8 million Canadian dollars) will be set aside for the country’s humanitarian relief.
