Increased coverage for Helpline 122 in Quezon City
By combining its emergency hotline and complaint center, the Quezon City (QC) administration has improved its QCitizen Helpline 122.
In a press statement, QC stated that in addition to its email helpdesk@quezoncity.gov.ph, the 24-hour hotline will now handle public complaints and suggestions.
Mayor Joy Belmonte stated, “We think that by strengthening Helpline 122, we may inspire QCitizens to participate and voice their concerns on the affairs of the city for us to develop and deliver a value-added public service to them and to those that come, conduct business, and do so in our city.
In addition to calls for immediate aid and instances of violence, the hotline and email will also accept reports of ineffective and corrupt procedures in Quebec.
According to the local government, the hotline has direct links with the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and Bureau of Fire Protection for the three-minute response time policy, as well as two-way radio contacts with all service units.
It claimed to have a new ticketing system to guarantee that all requests and complaints are forwarded to the appropriate offices.
