AICS main processing is returned by DSWD to the central office.

The Step 1 processing of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of the agency’s Central Office will return to the main office in Batasan Hills, Quezon City, beginning on April 24, according to a statement made on Monday by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Currently, the Quezon Memorial Circle’s QC-X Building serves as the temporary location for the principal processing of the AICS program’s clients.

Initial documentation screening is part of step 1 processing, and clients and applicants are given a schedule for additional evaluation.

Beginning on April 24, clients will be welcomed at the DSWD Central Office from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Before coming to the office, clients of the AICS Program are advised by the DSWD Central Office to make sure their paperwork is accurate and complete.

On March 13 last year, the DSWD Central Office set up a temporary location at the Quezon Memorial Circle as the former processing area underwent repairs.

The improvements are required to create a more welcoming and secure environment for clients who need assistance with transportation, medical care, hospitalization, and other services.

AICS acts as a social safety net or a stop-gap measure to assist people and families in recovering from unanticipated crises like illness or the death of a family member, natural and man-made disasters, and other crisis situations.

Depending on their needs and the social worker’s assessment, program participants can receive a variety of services.

Bronze PRIME-HRM Award

The Civil Service Commission-National Capital Region (CSC-NCR) recently presented the Bronze Award under the 2023 Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) to the DSWD Central Office.

On April 14 at Diliman, Quezon City, the DSWD-CO received the PRIME-HRM Bronze Award for meeting the Maturity Level 2 Indicators in the four core HRM Systems, specifically the Recruitment, Selection and Placement, Performance Management, Learning and Development, and Rewards and Recognition.

Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao and DSWD HRMDS Officer-in-Charge Jennifer Rizo accepted the prize on behalf of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian.

With the support of the DSWD top management and the work of its Human Resource Management and Development Service (HRMDS), the DSWD-CO began its PRIME-HRM journey in 2018.
