Bulacan mayor: Kadiwa is a “timely intervention” for underprivileged Filipinos.

On Wednesday, local leaders in Bulacan congratulated the federal government for bringing the “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” (KNP) program to the province, providing its citizens the chance to purchase reasonably priced agricultural products as well as other food and non-food items.

In order to assist consumers in the face of rising commodity prices, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. oversaw the establishment of the KNP program in the City of San Jose Del Monte.

In addition, it gives farmers, fishermen, and micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) a platform that helps them to increase their revenue because intermediaries are cut out, allowing them to sell their produce at higher prices and directly to consumers.

The KNP is a great and timely program of the national government, according to Mayor Arthur Robes of the City of San Jose Del Monte, and it might aid consumers in the face of rising inflation.

Isang malaking kasiyahan sa bawit mamamayan ng lungsod na tayo is magkaroon ng ganitong program. Ating Bansa Tamang-tama sa Inflation nangyayari. It is a tremendous delight for every inhabitant of our city to have such a program. It is a pagpapatunay lamang kung gaano kamahal ng ating Pangulo na mabigyan ng mas murang bilihin a yong mga kababayan hindi lang lungsod, nahi lang sa lalawigan, kungdi sa buong Pilipinas. This is a timely answer to the inflation that is currently taking place in our nation. This is merely evidence of how much our President enjoys offering our people cheaper goods throughout the Philippines, not just in the cities and provinces, Robes stated during the ceremony.

He gave the President his word that they will continue to support the national government’s initiatives aimed at improving a lot of the country’s disadvantaged Filipinos.

“Rest assured that we will continue to assist and support all of the national government’s initiatives and plans to respond to improving the lives of our underprivileged citizens throughout the Philippines, particularly in the province of Bulacan and the City of San Jose Del Monte,” he added.

Marcos thanked all of the attendees and the Bulacan provincial government for their unwavering support of the KNP.

“The Department of Agriculture cannot handle this task alone. Without the assistance and effective collaboration of our local government, this cannot be accomplished by the national government alone, according to President Marcos.

At the Kadiwa, about 50 vendors from the departments of agriculture, trade and industry, social welfare and development, and labor and employment sold a variety of goods, including fruits, vegetables, home items, and other commodities.

The DA’s Kadiwa market connection facilitation initiative aims to increase the accessibility, availability, and affordability for the poor of goods including rice, fish, poultry and cattle, fruits and vegetables, and other basic commodities.

The program also aims to enhance the income of small farmers and fishermen, create a new market for their products, and guarantee a steady supply of food and other essentials in underdeveloped areas.
