The building of 1.2 million homes has begun, according to PBBM

Under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Housing Program (4PH), the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has already started construction on almost 1.2 million housing units.

After attending several events in the province of Bulacan on Wednesday, Marcos verified this in a media interview in San Jose del Monte City.

“So, if we can start, let’s do that,” Now where are we? A decade? 10 months. Si (Housing) Secretary Jerry [Jose Rizalino Acuzar] has a budget of 1.2 million. Natin tingnan. Secretary Jerry has already begun work on the development of 1.2 million units. We shall see. I can tell you that we will continue to do this),” stated Marcos.

The administration’s goal of constructing 1 million homes yearly over the following six years has been surpassed.

To check on the progress of the project, Marcos suggested the government might inspect the housing units.

“I believe we should simply wait for the actual structures to begin to rise. We should visit the locations when it occurs, he added, adding, “Yan, puntahan din natin ‘yan pagka nangyari na.”

Given Acuzar’s track record, the President expressed confidence in its ability to assure the correct implementation of the program’s flagship housing component.

“Kasi noong nasa private sector siya nagagawa niya talaga, malaking kumpiyansa ko,” Alam niyang gawin eh (I am assured since Acuzar was able to perform when he was still working in the private sector. He is aware of what to do),” remarked Marcos.

Six housing projects in Bulacan that might produce up to 30,000 shelter units were officially launched under Marcos’ leadership.

The first phase of the six projects will see the construction of 12,563 dwelling units overall.

The housing developments include the Mom’s Ville Homeowners Association Incorporated Project in Barangay Penabatan, Pulilan, the Rising City Residential Project in Barangay Gaya-Gaya, San Jose del Monte City, and the San Rafael Heights Development Project in Barangay Caingin, San Rafael.

The 4PH Program aims to create 1 million housing units yearly through 2028 to solve the nation’s estimated over 6.5 million unit housing backlog.
