In July, PH will host the APEC Business Advisory Group meeting.

Business executives from the 21 member economies will attend the third phase of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Advisory Council (ABAC) meetings, which will be held in the Philippines from July 27 to 30.

ABAC Philippines chair Tomas Alcantara and ABAC members Aboitiz Group president and chief executive officer Sabin Aboitiz and Joanne de Asis announced in a statement on Tuesday. They expressed excitement about welcoming over 200 attendees to the ABAC III and showcasing the country’s warm hospitality and rich culture.

ABAC III’s “Equity, Sustainability, and Opportunity” theme aims to promote dialogue and collaboration between the public and commercial sectors in APEC economies.

Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) will be the focus of the third leg of the ABAC meeting, highlighting the environment, social, and government (ESG) investing landscape.

“It is a privilege for us to host this significant conference of business executives from the Asia Pacific region. As the Council continues its excellent work and progress in the last two meetings, we look forward to offering a wonderful experience here in the Philippines, Alcantara said.

ABAC Philippines noted that having the opportunity to host ABAC III gives the nation a chance to highlight its potential as a regional investment destination.

“As we prepare to host ABAC in the bustling center of Cebu, countless chances and fascinating discoveries await us. Aboitiz, the vice chair of the 2023 ABAC Sustainable Growth Working Group (SGWG), said, “Let’s write a new chapter in the Asia Pacific story where collaboration ignites innovation and our common goal for a prosperous future becomes a reality.

De Asis, who serves as the Financial Task Force’s country head, on the other hand, stated that the gathering also intends to advance the interests of the Asia Pacific business community in assisting in the growth of the region.

“As members of ABAC, we are dedicated to fostering equitable and sustainable growth in the area. According to de Asis, “We are confident that this gathering will offer another beneficial forum for conversation and cooperation on crucial issues we face.
