Caraga farmers exhibit their homegrown goods at the PH Coffee Expo.
Two farmer’s organizations from the Caraga Region displayed their goods at the Philippine Coffee Expo 2023, which took place from June 2 to 4 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
The organizations were the San Nicolas Development Cooperative (SANIDECO) of Tagbina town, Surigao del Sur province, and the Casiklan Wheels Farmers Association, Inc. (CAWFAI) from Barangay Casiklan in Las Nieves town, Agusan del Norte province.
They both benefit from the Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Rural Development Program (PRDP).
According to a statement released on Monday, the Philippine Coffee Expo 2023 provided a place for the CAWFAI to showcase their best Robusta coffee product.
“We were able to exhibit our CAWFAI Robusta coffee product to individuals and groups during the expo,” the company claimed.
Additionally, the group used the occasion as a break to expand the promotion of their coffee products.
Five associations of coffee farmers from Tagbina and other Surigao del Sur municipalities make up SANIDECO.
Through technical conversations, the Philippine Coffee Expo 2023 provided a forum for the nation’s coffee sector to come together and discuss important challenges, cutting-edge innovations, and business prospects.
