DOH reports 3000 fresh Covid-19 recoveries from PH
The Department of Health (DOH) announced 3,003 additional recoveries from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Friday, bringing the overall number of recoveries in the nation to 1,383,833, accounting for 94.7 percent of all recorded illnesses.
The DOH also recorded 5,881 new cases in its daily Covid-19 update, increasing the total number of active cases in the nation to 51,902, or 3.6 percent of all instances.
90.3 percent of active cases have mild symptoms, followed by 4.4 percent who are asymptomatic, 2.2 percent who have severe symptoms, 1.56 percent who have moderate symptoms, and 1.5 percent who are in critical condition.
About 70 additional fatalities were also recorded, bringing the total number of people killed by Covid-19 throughout the nation to 25,720, or 1.76 percent of all cases.
According to the latest statistics from the Department of Health, 50,572 Covid-19 tests were given on Wednesday, with 11% of them testing positive for the illness.
Many health care facilities in the National Capital Region (NCR) remain accessible for Covid-19 patients, with 1,100 beds in critical care units (ICUs) at 41% occupancy, 4,700 isolation beds at 37% occupancy, 3,500 ward beds at 33% occupancy, and 31% of 1,000 ventilators in use.
There are 3,400 ICU beds with a 57 percent occupancy rate, 19,400 isolation beds with a 45 percent occupancy rate, 12,200 ward beds with a 42 percent occupancy rate, and 35% of the country’s 2,800 ventilators are in use.
