Covid-19 jabs are given to over 203K minors.

Since the pediatric immunization program began over a month ago, a total of 203,357 youngsters aged 12 to 17 years old had been immunized against the coronavirus, according to a health official.

According to the latest data from the National Vaccination Operations Center, about 0.10 percent of vaccinated kids reported adverse reactions, according to Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.

Expected transient symptoms including vaccination site discomfort, headaches, and dizziness are the top three most commonly reported adverse effects following immunization (AEFIs). Anxiety-related AEFIs were also reported, according to Vergeire.

“Every single one of the bad situations was dealt with. They were all addressed, and lahat po ng mga kabataan na nagkaroon ng ganitong reaksiyon ay nakauwi naman po (All of our adverse event situations were well-managed). After adequate management, all of the adolescents who had these responses were allowed to return home “In a press conference, Vergeire stated.

For 12 to 17-year-old children with comorbidities, a pilot rollout of pediatric vaccination began on October 15 in eight participating institutions in the NCR.

Last November 3, the pediatric vaccine was formally begun statewide, with a target population of 12,722,070 people, 1,272,207 of whom had comorbidities.
