Two weather systems are expected to bring rain showers over the majority of the Philippines.
The shear line affecting the eastern regions of Southern Luzon and the Visayas, as well as the northeast monsoon hitting Luzon, will bring rain showers to most parts of the country.
“Areas affected by the shear line will have cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfall, with torrential showers at times,” said Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA said sporadic rain showers and thunderstorms are predicted over Mindanao, the Bicol Region, Central, and Eastern Visayas in its 4 a.m. weather report.
The northeast monsoon will bring rains to Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, as well as isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to Mimaropa and the Western Visayas.
Isolated light rainfall will fall across Metro Manila and the remainder of Luzon.
Over Luzon, moderate to high winds and moderate to rough waves are expected.
Light to moderate breezes will prevail elsewhere, with light to moderate seas.
No weather disturbances are being observed inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, according to Aurelio.
