Due to “a sharp surge” in Covid-19 instances among its employees, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has temporarily closed certain consular offices (CO) and temporary off-site passport services (TOPS) sites.

The Department of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday that the COs in La Union, the National Capital Region (NCR) East, the NCR North, and TOPS Robinsons Novaliches will be closed from Monday to January 20.

“No passport or Apostille applications will be processed or released during the temporary suspension of operations.” The DFA stated that operations will restart on January 21, 2022.

The DFA OCA in Paranaque City’s Aseana Business Park, the COs in NCR Central, NCR Northeast, NCR South, NCR West, Antipolo, Angeles, Baguio, Dasmarinas, Iloilo, Lucena, Malolos, San Pablo, and TOPS at Newport Mall, Robinsons Las Pias, Robinsons San Pedro Laguna, and SM Manila will all be closed from Wednesday to January 20.

Those with appointments on the affected dates will receive an email with their modified schedule.

The advice stated, “Please expect an email with additional details regarding your appointment, which will be sent to the email address you gave when you booked your application.”

The public can submit an email or call their CO, TOPS, or OCA offices through the DFA website if they have questions or “validly urgent and emergency issues.”
