Two weather systems are expected to bring rain to the Philippines.

The shear line impacting eastern Mindanao and the northeast monsoon hitting Luzon and the Visayas will bring rain to most parts of the country.

The weather agency predicted scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region in its 4 a.m. weather forecast for Thursday. Isolated rain showers generated by localized thunderstorms are likely for the rest of Mindanao.

During moderate to heavy rainfall and violent thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides are probable, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Over the Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines provinces, and Catanduanes, the northeast monsoon will bring modest showers.

Over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the Visayas, it will also produce isolated light rainfall.

Meanwhile, PAGASA’s Sam Duran stated that no weather disturbances exist within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The temperature in Puerto Princesa City could reach 32 degrees Celsius, the Kalayaan Islands could reach 31 degrees Celsius, and Metro Manila could reach 29 degrees Celsius.

The temperature in Zamboanga has reached 34 degrees Celsius, Davao has reached 32 degrees Celsius, Iloilo has reached 31 degrees Celsius, and Tacloban and Cagayan de Oro have reached 29 degrees Celsius.

Over the whole archipelago, moderate to severe winds and moderate to rough waves will persist.

Winds will be moderate to gale-force throughout the western shoreline of Northern Luzon, the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seafront of Central Luzon, and the eastern seaboard of Southern Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.

The eastern seaboard of the Visayas and the eastern seaboard of Mindanao are also under a gale warning.

Fishing boats and other small seacraft have been cautioned not to enter into the water, while larger sea vessels have been warned of strong waves.
