Examinees and supporters of the bar have been ordered to stop participating in send-off activities.

In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the Philippine National Police (PNP) asked Bar examinees and their supporters to desist from holding send-off activities in accordance with health standards.

“We also discourage exam taker send-offs to minimize any crowding or converging of people.” We have to focus on how we can administer the bar exams in a secure and peaceful way,” PNP commander, Gen. Dionardo Carlos said a statement, ahead of the conduct of the examinations on February 4 and 6.

Examinees were also reminded to observe the health routine before, during, and after each examination, according to Carlos.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) will deploy approximately 200 officers to three university campuses in Cebu, which will host the pilot implementation of the tests for aspiring lawyers outside of Metro Manila.

Carlos promised that on the specified dates, people will be deployed early in the morning to ensure that vehicles in the area of the campuses are aware of any temporary road closures.

The University of Cebu at Banilad, the University of San Carlos-Main, and the University of San Jose Recoletos-Basak Pardo are among the participating schools.

The administrators of the mentioned schools requested that the rooms utilized for the bar tests not be exposed to any unwanted noise from outside, according to the Cebu City Police Office.

Examinees who test positive for Covid-19 will be denied access to their local testing sites, according to the Supreme Court.

All cases, whether symptomatic or asymptomatic, will be prohibited.

Mae Diane Azores of the University of Santo Tomas – Legazpi (previously Aquinas University) won the Bar the last time it was conducted in November 2019, with a grade of 91.05 percent.

Examinees who receive a weighted score of 85 percent or greater will be recognized for exceptional achievement “to enable a more realistic method to evaluate and reporting on Bar Examination performance.”
