After the initial thrill wears off, enthusiasm for after-school activities tends to fade. This is very understandable. The key is to maintain working hard even after this. How do you keep your youngster interested in learning? This is especially important when the youngster participates in educational after-school programs.

Make the connection between your career and your studies as soon as possible:
Make sure your child understands the importance of studying. Let him know that a successful career is entirely contingent on good education. Plan family activities that are related to his academics to help him develop an interest in learning. When feasible, emphasize the real-world connection to academics.

Set goals: Show your youngster that hard effort pays off by setting an example. If your youngster feels that success comes naturally as a result of hard work, he will be more motivated to work hard. These kids are also less likely to drop out of school or go to college later in life.

Reward success: It is vital to praise a child’s hard work when he achieves anything.
Positive reinforcement boosts self-confidence and self-esteem.
Be wary of criticism, on the other hand. It has the potential to destroy children’s fragile egos and wreak havoc on their minds.
