As individuals grapple with the uncertainty posed by the Covid-19 outbreak, coming together offers a powerful message that, despite the many obstacles, hope persists that all of these difficulties will pass.

As a reminder that there is “light among darkness,” Barangay San Antonio in Pasig City lit the so-called “Twin Christmas Trees” at the intersection of J. Vargas and San Miguel Avenues in Ortigas Business District on Dec. 1 to brighten everyone’s attitudes during these tough times.

Raymond Lising, chairman of Barangay San Antonio, led the ceremonial lighting of the 30-foot “Twin Christmas Trees.” Mayor Vico Sotto’s representative, Pasig City Administrator Jeronimo Manzanero, was also present.

This was made possible by the Ortigas Center Association Inc. (OCAI), which decided to pool its members’ resources in order to put up the “Twin Christmas Trees.”

For the spectacular Christmas decors, the club provided lights and ornaments.

The “unity” Christmas trees are symbolic not just for Ortigas Business District establishments, but also for Pasig and Mandaluyong, as they were placed near the city’s border.

Barangay There are 11,000 high-rise structures in San Antonio, which is where Pasig City’s economic district is located.
