Additional 2 million doses of Sinovac given by China arrive in Manila.

The Philippines got another 2 million doses of Sinovac vaccines from the Chinese government on Tuesday.

Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian, Health Undersecretary Ma. Carolina Vidal-Taio, and NTF strategic communications on current operations head Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor welcomed the arrival of Philippine Airlines Flight PR 359 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 in Pasay City around 6 p.m.

Galvez, who is also the vaccine czar, stated that the Sinovac CoronaVac vaccine will be disseminated to various remote villages.

In an interview, Galvez stated, “It will be required for the first and second doses, as well as the boosters.”

Most people are looking for Sinovac booster dosages under the homogeneous booster vaccine, according to Galvez.

The newest shipment boosted the overall number of Sinovac vaccines in the country to 54,030,400 doses, including 4 million doses donated by the Chinese government.

The Chinese government, according to Xilian, is dedicated to assisting the Philippines in reviving its economy by expanding the Covid-19 vaccine program.

“We will continue to support the Philippines until the virus is completely eradicated,” Xilian stated.

Since February, Sinovac, a Chinese vaccine manufacturer, has been the country’s primary supplier of Covid-19 vaccines.

Until the end of this week, the Philippines is expected to receive more than 24 million doses of Covid-19 from several vaccine manufacturers.
