Converge promises to restore service in ‘Odette’-affected areas as soon as possible.
Converge ICT Solutions, Inc., a fiber broadband provider, announced service outages in some areas affected by Typhoon Odette on Friday and promised customers that service would be restored as soon as possible.
Converge stated network operations were disrupted in Iloilo, Capiz, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao in a 3:30 p.m. advisory.
“Relax, we are trying to restore service in these regions as soon as possible while protecting the safety of our staff,” the advice stated.
The organization stated that it is working “round the clock” to examine the entire extent of the typhoon’s damage.
“At the same time that repair is taking place, Converge is simultaneously mobilizing humanitarian operations for the affected communities.” Continue to be safe and watch our official channels for network updates,” it added.
It further stated that Converge business centers in Mandaue City, Roxas City, Iloilo City, and Cagayan de Oro City are temporarily closed due to network problems.
“Odette” made landfall over Roxas, Palawan, around 3:10 p.m. on Friday.
