A PAF C-130 plane arrives in Cebu with much-needed humanitarian supplies.

On Sunday, a Philippine Air Force (PAF) Lockheed C-130 “Hercules” cargo plane flew relief supplies from Villamor Air Base in Pasay City to Benito Ebuen Air Base in Cebu.

“On December 19, 2021, the Philippine Air Force C-130 aircraft with tail number 5011 brought relief commodities from Villamor Air Base in Pasay City to Brigadier General Benito N. Ebuen Air Base in Cebu,” Air Force spokesperson Lt. Col. Maynard Mariano said in a statement to reporters.

He went on to say that two sorties were carried out, totaling 33,797 pounds of relief supplies, including tents, liters of water, rice sacks, toiletries, old clothing, canned items, bottled water, and generator sets.

“It will be provided to inhabitants in many parts of the Visayas region and Northern Mindanao who have been affected by Typhoon Odette,” Mariano said.

He further mentioned that the PAF, as well as other local government organizations, acted immediately to perform a search, rescue, and evacuation operations.

“Rest assured, the Philippine Air Force will continue to conduct humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations, as well as provide required airlift requirements and provide support to our fellow Filipinos in need,” Mariano stated.
