The ITCZ is expected to deliver rain showers to Mindanao.

The meteorological office said on Tuesday that the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting the southern half of Mindanao will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across the island.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned of flash floods and landslides owing to moderate to heavy rains in its 5 a.m. weather report.

The shear line is expected to generate light to moderate rains in the Cagayan Valley region and Aurora province, with heavy rains possible at times.

Isolated to scattered flooding and rain-induced landslides are also expected, especially in regions prone to these dangers, according to the report.

The northeast monsoon will bring isolated rain showers to Metro Manila, Central Luzon, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the Ilocos Region.

Isolated rain showers will occur across the rest of the country as a result of localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, winds will be moderate to high, with moderate to rough waves across Luzon. Fishing boats and other small craft are being warned throughout Northern Luzon’s northern coast.

Winds will be light to moderate elsewhere, with modest to moderate seas, according to PAGASA.
