Cebu Pacific has canceled nearly all Cebu-Manila flights between December 24 and 31.
Cebu Pacific, a low-cost carrier, has canceled nearly all of its flights between Manila and Cebu from December 24 to December 31, citing operational constraints at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
The restrictions are the result of Typhoon Rai (local name: Odette), according to a CEB notice issued on Wednesday night.
The following flights have been canceled:
-5J 559 / 5J 560 Manila – Cebu – Manila
-5J 561 / 5J 562 Manila – Cebu – Manila
-5J 563 / 5J 564 Manila – Cebu – Manila
-5J 565 / 5J 566 Manila – Cebu – Manila
-5J 567 / 5J 568 Manila – Cebu – Manila
-5J 575 / 5J 576 Manila – Cebu – Manila
-5J 581 / 5J 582 Manila – Cebu – Manila
-5J 583 Manila – Cebu (except Dec. 31, 2021)
-5J 584 Cebu – Manila (except Dec. 24, 2021)
Affected passengers are being “informed,” according to CEB. They have the option of rebooking, receiving a refund, or putting the ticket value into a travel fund.
While other CEB domestic flights via Cebu will operate as scheduled, travelers who wish to voluntarily postpone their trips until December 31 will be given options.
Passengers can cancel their flights up to two hours before the scheduled departure time. They have 60 days to rebook the ticket for travel.
According to CEB, they can also put the ticket value into a trip fund.
