I finish what I start: Isko

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, a presidential candidate, has appealed to the people to give him an opportunity to govern the country, claiming that he “gets things done.”

The party’s standard-bearer wooed the throng assembled at the Kartilya ng Katipunan on the opening day of the campaign for national bets at the Aksyon Demokratiko proclamation rally on Tuesday evening, promising them that he always keeps his promises.

“Maaaring mas magaling sila sa akin,” he said, “but (they may be better than me, but) I get things done.” “Kung sakaling ako ang pinili nyo, ang pinili nyo ay bahay, eskwelahan, kapanatagan, at pantay-pantay na pagtrato sa bawat isa (If you selected me, you chose housing, schools, peace of mind, and equitable treatment for all).””

Domagoso, who is in his first term as mayor, said he was running for the highest office because he was “weary” of erring political families who failed to better Filipinos’ lives.

“Ang tanong, after 39 years, kumusta po kayo?” After 39 years, is Pilipinas still relevant? What is the state of the country after 39 years? One of the reasons I voted in this election is because of this. Because you’ve gambled for 39 years, why don’t you gamble for six years on me),” he added, referring to the Marcoses and Aquinos, who have been political foes since the 1970s.

Domagoso and his running mate, Dr. Willie Ong, were also endorsed by the party’s Senate bets.

Lawyers Jopet Sison, Samira Gutoc, and Carl Balita were also seen at the event, presenting themselves and their ideas if they were elected senators.

Pateros Mayor Ike Ponce, Caloocan City District Rep. Edgar Erice, Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano, Maguindanao Rep. Esmael Mangudadatu, and former Secretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform John Castricciones, who is also running for senator under PDP Laban, were among those who attended the proclamation rally.

In a video greeting to the gathering, Senate President Pro-tempore Ralph Recto said Domagoso had accomplished a lot in the midst of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) epidemic.

“Ang iba, namimigay pa lang ng promissory note, kay Isko, may resibo na,” “Recto stated his opinion. “Nagawa niya sa buhay niya, nagawa niya sa lungsod ng Maynila, at magagawa niya sa buong Pilipinas.””

Enhance health-care services

Ong, a doctor who stood for Senate in 2019 but lost, claimed that aiding the public through his vlogs was not enough, leading him to run for vice president in order to reach out to even more people.

“Para mas matulungan kayo, kailangan ko ng pwesto.” ‘Yung puro vlog na lang ako, hindi pwede. (I need a job so I can help you.) Papano ko mapapayo ‘yung Molnupiravir, ‘yung Paxlovid, ‘yung Manila Covid-19 niya, ‘yung Ospital ng Maynila niya It’s not enough for me to just do vlogs. How can I propose Molnupiravir and Paxlovid, the Manila Covid-19, and the Manila Hospital),” he explained.

They intend to develop 17 regional hospitals, three specialty hospitals, an infectious disease hospital, a children’s hospital, and a cancer center across the country as part of their plan.

According to Ong, the Infectious Infections Hospital would treat Covid-19 patients as well as any new diseases that may occur in the future.

He claimed that if the country had hospitals and medications, it could securely reopen its borders, bringing tourists and jobs back.

“‘Di pwedeng walang ospital tapos mag o-open,’ di pwedeng walang ospital,’ di pwedeng walang ospital,’ di (We shouldn’t open unless there are hospitals.) Reckless ‘yon That’s being irresponsible), “According to Ong.

He went on to say that medicines for common conditions including diabetes, kidney disease, and hypertension should be given away for free.

Ong also discussed raising teacher salaries and enhancing educational quality, maintaining the battle on drugs while focusing on rehabilitation, and caring for people’s mental health, particularly the youth.

He wants the government to provide affordable mental health treatments, in addition to guaranteeing that psychiatrists are available.

“The drug fight is a wonderful thing. However, rehabilitation must be prioritized. Psychiatrists and psychologists should be available to assist former drug users in avoiding relapse “He expressed himself in Filipino.

“Priority ko talaga ‘yung mga anak nyo sa akin.” Masaya sila ng gusto ko, malusog, at ligtas. Bumili ng pinakamagandang gamot ay ako. For kanila, ako ang pipili ng pinakamagandang bakuna. Walang korapsyon dun (Your children are my first priority.) I want them to be happy, healthy, and in a secure environment. I’ll get the greatest medicine for them. I’ll select the most effective vaccine for them. No tampering), “Added he.
