During the UniTeam’s proclamation event at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan on Tuesday night, presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, called for unity as the country continues to grapple with the Covid-19 outbreak.

Marcos thanked Duterte for agreeing to be his running mate in front of supporters, characterizing her as capable and “having a clear understanding of her vision for the country.”

Duterte stated that achieving unity would be simpler if everyone treated each other equally and fairly.

A large crowd of loving supporters flocked to the Philippine Arena to witness Marcos Jr. and Duterte’s proclamation, as well as the UniTeam’s senatorial ticket, in a major show of force to kick off their campaign for the May 2022 elections.

As early as 10 a.m., traffic on the North Luzon Expressway was heavy, with all kinds of vehicles rushing to the designated entrances of the world’s largest indoor stadium to send off their candidates as the campaign season officially began.
